Department of Sustainability and Environment have lifted a size restriction on Long neck and Murray River Turtles since the 1st of October. This makes these cute little creatures available to take home, look after and love.

Lillian sent me a picture of little Hei-Hei to enter her into Pet of the Month. I wasn’t 100% sure about making the winner a rat but the more I thought about it, it made sense. We had a pet rat in the store a couple of years ago and his name was Ernie. He was the cutest, cuddly rat I had ever met and I wondered whether all rats are just as affectionate?

Di and her lovable dog Max are our Upmarket Pets, Pet of the Month winners for February 2009.
We caught up with them and Max’s older brother Bo at our pet shop to see what makes this 12 year old keep on going.
The boys were all neatly clipped and washed when they came in store, and behaved exceptionally. They did what they were told and Bo patently waited while Max was being interviewed.

This is George, our October 2008 Pet of the Month. Upmarket Pets are now giving out a $50 voucher for anything in our store every month to the winner of ‘Pet of the month’. George is our second winner for this prize, out of the all the people who had entered this month. Kylie came to upmarket pets on Thursday with her cat George and her partner (Who was a little shy to be on camera) They where running a little late thanks to traffic, otherwise everybody in store would have been able to have all the fun we had with Kyle and her cat George.
